Troubleshooting is a form of problem solving, often applied to repair failed products or processes. It is a logical, systematic search for the source of a problem so that it can be solved, and so the product or process can be made operational again. Troubleshooting is needed to develop and maintain complex systems where the symptoms of a problem can have many possible causes. Troubleshooting is used in many fields such as engineering, system administration, electronics, automotive repair, and diagnostic medicine. Troubleshooting requires identification of the malfunction(s) or symptoms within a system. Then, experience is commonly used to generate possible causes of the symptoms. Determining the most likely cause is a process of elimination - eliminating potential causes of a problem. Finally, troubleshooting requires confirmation that the solution restores the product or process to its working state.
You can install it if you want to for long, for a single use you can use .exe file supplied with it.

You can now begin to use the troubleshooter. The first screen asks you to tell the type of problem you are facing.
You can click the option on the bottom right if you are not able to decide.
Hardware is the collection of physical elements that comprise a computer system. So select "Click here if you have a Hardware problem" if you think that there is a problem with some piece of Hardware. Once you do this the troubleshooter asks you to tell the Hardware component you are facing problems with like Mouse, Keyboard, video card, sound card, speakers, printers etc.
Click on the desired option and proceed. Follow the given steps one by one to troubleshoot your device. Replace the device if the problem still persists.
Computer software includes computer programs, libraries and their associated documentation. Software is stored in computer memory and cannot be touched i.e. it is intangible. Click on the software option if you think there is some problem with the software and follow the suggested steps. If the steps did not help, click the option on the bottom of the troubleshooter dialog box. Continue to do this till your problem is solved.
Network Connections provides connectivity between your computer and the Internet, a network, or another computer. Click this option if you think there is a problem with the Network Connection.
You will see a number of problems you could be facing. Click on the problem you think you are facing and follow the given steps to troubleshoot your problems.
If you are not able to decide the type of problem, click the option on the bottom right. Then choose the problem you are facing and follow the steps that follow.
This is it. Take technical support if you still face problems.

Lets assume that your home PC isn't working well. Run our troubleshooter program on the PC or on any other computer.
Let the problem with your PC be that its continuously reebooting on startup showing BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH. Now you wont know what exactly is problem, that is whether its HARDWARE or SOFTWARE. Let's Click on "Click here if you can't decide".
now the troubleshooter gives you a list of problems which can arise in case you can't decide whether its HARDWARE or SOFTWARE. They are mainly boot related. Click on your problem now.
The troubleshooter gives you now a list of steps to follow to remove the problem.
That's it!! Problem Solved!!
